Ranbir Kapoor’s First Look as Lord Ram Unveiled in ‘Ramayana’, Watch Teaser

Mumbai: Producer Namit Malhotra has released the official teaser for the much-awaited film Ramayana, offering audiences their first glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor in the iconic role of Lord Ram.

The teaser, unveiled globally, captures the epic essence of one of the world’s oldest and most revered stories. For generations who grew up with the Ramayana, it feels both deeply familiar and refreshingly new.

For new audiences, it promises to bring this timeless tale to life on a grand, never-before-seen cinematic scale. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast featuring  Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana

About Ramayana 

Namit Malhotra is producing the film under Prime Focus Studios, in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. Nitesh Tiwari directs the project, with screenplay adapted by Shridhar Raghavan.

The music is composed by the legendary duo Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman. On the technical front, the film emphasizes massive world-building. Production design by Ravi Bansal and Ramsey Avery aims to recreate ancient India with unprecedented scale and authenticity. Action sequences are being helmed by Terry Notary and Guy Norris.

Release in two parts 

Ramayana: Part 1 is the first of a two-part live-action epic inspired by Valmiki’s Ramayana. The film is scheduled for a global release during Diwali 2026, while Part 2 is already in production and slated for Diwali 2027. This ambitious project marks a significant milestone in Indian cinema, blending cultural heritage with cutting-edge global filmmaking expertise.
