Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has reportedly received a serious extortion threat, with individuals allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang demanding Rs 10 crore from him through a threatening WhatsApp voice note sent to his manager’s phone.

The voice message, received on the manager’s WhatsApp account, was sent from a United States-registered phone number, prompting heightened concern and a police response.

 Bishnoi Gang Link, Voice Traced to US Number

Preliminary investigation by the Mumbai Crime Branch suggests that the voice in the extortion note likely belongs to Harry Boxer, a close associate of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police are reportedly working with US authorities through official channels to trace and identify the origin of the number used to send the message.

Sources said the threatening note allegedly followed a recent firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence, although the direct motive behind the extortion demand is still under investigation.

The Crime Branch has initiated a preliminary inquiry into the matter, recorded the statement of Ranveer Singh’s manager and is gathering further evidence. No formal FIR has been registered yet, but the investigation remains active.
