The FIR follows reports that an accused individual issued intimidating messages demanding money from the actor’s camp.

Extortion Threat Linked to International Gang

According to police sources, the threat was conveyed through a WhatsApp voice note, reportedly sent by Harichandra alias Harry Boxer, an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, from an international number. The message included ransom demands and threats aimed at Singh and his team.

Law Enforcement Action & LOC Issued

The Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the accused to prevent him from leaving the country. Authorities are tracing the source of the voice note, including coordination with international agencies, and investigating links to broader gang-related activities directed at celebrities.

Security Tightened & Ongoing Investigation

Following the incident, Mumbai Police stepped up security around Ranveer Singh and recorded statements from his manager as part of the probe. Investigators are examining digital evidence to build a case and identify any wider motives or connections behind the threat.
