On Tuesday morning, the Building Branch of the administration sealed Sago, the club owned by famous rapper Badshah, located in Sector-26, Chandigarh. Multiple notices had been issued to the club operators regarding violations of building regulations.
They were directed to rectify the deficiencies and comply with the rules within a stipulated timeframe; however, they failed to do so. Consequently, a team from the Building Branch arrived at the premises and proceeded to seal the establishment.
According to the administration, a long-standing dispute had been ongoing regarding certain violations related to building codes and deviations from the approved building plan. After repeated notices failed to elicit a satisfactory response or ensure compliance, the decision was ultimately taken to seal the club.
This is the same club that has previously made headlines due to a major controversy. It had emerged that gangsters Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara had claimed responsibility via social media for explosions that occurred outside the club.
Social media posts at the time alleged that the club operators had been asked to pay “protection money,” and the explosions were carried out after this demand went unmet. However, that particular incident was subsequently investigated by security agencies and the police. Now, the club has once again become a topic of discussion, this time due to administrative action.
