Union Minister Ravneet Bittu Given Religious Punishment by Sikh Clergy Over Remarks

Union Minister of State Ravneet Bittoo has been sentenced to religious punishment. Today (Wednesday, June 24), he appeared before the SC Commission in Chandigarh. After hearing their side, the Commission asked the Minister of State to bow his head at 4 places. The SC Commission has taken this action in the case of making objectionable comments on the police.

Bittu will bow at 4 places. These include Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple), Dera Brahmadas in Phillaur, Lord Valmiki Ji’s Dera (Ramtirtha, Amritsar) and Dera Ballan.

Bittu said these things in front of the Commission Chairman…

I apologized, deleted the video: Union Minister of State Bittu presented his side through his lawyers. “My words were 100 per cent legally wrong. I also apologized for that. I also deleted the video from my account.
SP rank officer stopped me: Bittu said that he was first stopped by an SP rank officer in Sangrur. OSD Omkar has been detained at Ballia police station, the official said. After this, he reached the Ballia police station, where he was again told that Omkar has been taken to Sangrur.
According to Bittu, he reached Sangrur again, but the police officers stationed there blocked his way, saying that Omkar was in the dust. He then reached Dhuri, where an SHO rank officer blocked the way by parking a vehicle in front of his vehicle. He alleged that during this time he was misbehaved with, and some words were said which hurt him.
Bittu said that the situation was tense at that time and he was emotional with the behaviour of the police. He admitted that he has already apologised to the media if there were any objectionable words from his side. Bittu said he belongs to the party where Prime Minister Narendra Modi has washed the feet of sanitation workers.
