Red Alert in Punjab, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh After Delhi Red Fort Metro Blast

Chandigarh: Following the blast near the Red Fort Metro station in Delhi, a red alert has been issued in Punjab. Police Commissioners (CPs) and SSPs have been instructed to remain vigilant. Police forces have been deployed in sensitive and crowded areas.

Vehicles and suspicious individuals have been checked.

The administration has appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police. Security agencies are continuously monitoring the situation. An alert has also been issued in Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh.

Himachal DGP Ashok Tiwari has instructed police to increase vigilance in border areas.

The DGP has instructed the Superintendents of Police of all districts to remain vigilant. Following this, vehicles entering Himachal from other states will be checked at the border areas. Instructions have been issued to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and vehicles.

Security has also been increased at major Shaktipeeths and major temples in the state.

Police station chiefs and outpost in-charges have been alerted on the DGP’s instructions.
