New Delhi: Delhi High Court dismisses Public Interest Litigation (PIL) praying for the removal of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from holding the post of chief minister of the government of Delhi. The court said there is no scope for judicial interference.
High Court refused to hear the PIL that demanded removal of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal from his post.
While rejecting the plea, court said, “there is no constitutional obligation that Arvind Kejriwal cannot continue in his post.”
Court added, “this is a matter related to the executive, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi will look into this matter and then he will send its report to the President. Court has no role in this matter.”
