Retired Inspector’s Son Shot in Jhajjar; Attack Captured on CCTV

The entire incident of the fatal attack on a youth in village Asanda of Jhajjar district was captured on CCTV camera. Two bike-borne miscreants suddenly started firing on the young man who was parking the car outside the house. The young man ran to save his life, but a bullet hit him in the waist.

The injured youth have been identified as Manjesh Rathi (33), son of retired Haryana Police inspector Dayanand Rathi.

According to the information, at around 10 pm on Friday night, Manjesh was parking the vehicle outside his house. Meanwhile, two youths riding on a bike started firing at him. The sudden attack caused chaos in the area. Manjesh tried to save himself by running away, but a bullet hit his right waist.

Pictures of the attack have been captured in CCTV cameras installed around the site of the incident. In the footage, two suspicious youths on a bike are seen carrying out the incident. The police are now trying to identify the accused on the basis of this footage.

Panic in the village due to firing

According to eyewitnesses, the miscreants fired several rounds, causing panic in the entire area. Hearing the sound of gunshots, the people around came out of the houses, but by then the attackers had escaped from the spot.

Case registered against unidentified miscreants

The injured Manjesh was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case against the unidentified assailants and are investigating the matter. The police are probing various aspects about the reason behind the attack and the identity of the accused.
