Major police action in Rewari: Second encounter in two days, main accused Jaybhagwan arrested

Rewari Police, in their second major encounter within two days, apprehended notorious history-sheeter and prime accused in the murder of fertilizer and seed trader Mohan from Bahala, Jaybhagwan alias Sonu, after an encounter on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. The operation involved a joint team of Dharuhera CIA and Haryana STF.

Upon receiving information about the whereabouts of the wanted criminal Sonu, a roadblock was set up near Kharkhara village on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. Seeing himself surrounded, the accused opened fire on the police. The police retaliated in self-defense, and Sonu, who carried a reward of Rs. 20,000, sustained two bullet wounds.

During the encounter, Dharuhera CIA in-charge Yogesh and STF Sub-Inspector Vivek also sustained bullet injuries, but their lives were saved due to their bulletproof vests. The injured criminal was immediately admitted to the trauma center in Rewari, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

More than 22 Criminal Cases Registered
According to police records, the arrested accused Sonu is originally from Pinana village in Sonipat and is a notorious history-sheeter. More than 22 criminal cases are registered against him, including more than half a dozen murder cases. The latest case dates back to December 23, when he entered the shop of fertilizer and seed seller Mohan in Bahala village in the Kosli area and shot him dead.

The investigation revealed that the murder was orchestrated by Jayprakash, a resident of Hisar. He hired Jaybhagwan alias Sonu to carry out the crime. The police have already arrested the mastermind Jayprakash.
