    RJD Releases List of Candidates for 143 Bihar Assembly Seats Ahead of Elections

    New Delhi: On Monday, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) released its list of candidates for 143 assembly seats. The RJD list includes several seats where Congress has also fielded candidates.

    Tejashwi Yadav to Contest from Raghopur

    In this list, Tejashwi Yadav has been nominated as the RJD candidate from the Raghopur assembly seat. Renu Kushwaha from Bihariganj, Anita Devi Mahato from Warsaliganj, Vinod Mishra from Alinagar, and Dev Kumar Chaurasia from Hajipur have been nominated.

    Key RJD Candidates in the List

    RJD has fielded Awadh Bihari Chaudhary from Siwan. Popular Bhojpuri cinema actor Shatrughan Kumar, also known as Khesari Lal, will contest from Chhapra. Surendra Ram is contesting from Garkha, Mukesh Roshan from Mahua, Karmveer Singh from Barh, Veena Devi from Mokama, Bhai Virendra from Maner, Shakti Singh from Hilsa, and the RJD has once again nominated Reetlal Rai from Danapur.

    Similarly, RJD has fielded Chandan Sinha from Sultanganj, Ajit Singh from Ramgarh, Rajneesh Bharti from Kahalgaon, Bima Bharti from Rupauli, Rahul Tiwari from Shahpur and Deepak Yadav from Narkatiaganj.

    Seat Overlaps with Congress Raise Alliance Questions

    The RJD has fielded Shweta Suman from Mohania, Birendra Kushwaha from Bhabua, Brijkishore Bind from Chainpur, Satendra Shah from Sasaram, Amarendra Kushwaha from Goh, Rishi Kumar from Obra, and Amod Chandravanshi from Nabinagar. Shamshad Alam from Jamui, Vishwanath Kumar Singh from Belagnj, and Ajay Dangi from Tekari will contest the elections.

    Election Dates and Key Contests

    The first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will be held on November 6 and the second phase on November 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14. The main contest in this election is expected to be between the NDA and the Grand Alliance.
