Robbery at a petrol pump in Jalandhar at gunpoint, Rs 2 lakh looted

In Jalandhar, two criminals robbed a manager at Petrol pump of Rs 2 lakh at gunpoint. The accused held a salesman hostage, locked him in a room, and assaulted him. After looting the money, the two criminals fled through the fields.

A video related to the incident has also surfaced. In it, one of the criminals is seen grabbing the salesman by the collar and dragging him into the pump’s office.

Meanwhile, the police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by the petrol pump owner. The ASI said that the accused would be arrested after examining the CCTV footage.

Here’s what happened

Late on Monday night, two salesmen were talking near the fuel dispenser at the Hindustan Petroleum petrol pump on Kala Sanghia Road in Dhaliwal Kadian village. Suddenly, two criminals entered the petrol pump from the fields. They were armed with pistols.

Assaulting employees

As soon as they entered, one of the criminals grabbed a salesman by the collar and started threatening him. His accomplice walked ahead with a pistol. The two then took him aside and questioned him about the money kept inside. The other accomplice then started assaulting him.

Petrol pump employee Harsh Chopra said that after the assault, the accused locked him in a room and left. His accomplice then went into the office and demanded the money. He then took Rs 2 lakh from the cupboard and fled after threatening to kill him.

The police begin an investigation 
Investigating officer SI Gurmeet Ram of Lambra police station said that a team reached the spot as soon as they received information from the control room. Footage from the surrounding CCTV cameras is being examined. The two accused will be identified and arrested soon.
