Rohtak, Oct 14: Another tragic incident has rocked the Haryana Police force, with an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) posted in the Cyber Cell in Rohtak dying by suicide. The officer allegedly shot himself and left behind a three-page suicide note and a video message, in which he made serious allegations of harassment and corruption against senior IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar.
According to initial reports, the ASI claimed he was under immense mental pressure and feared wrongful arrest. In both the note and video, he alleged that IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar had “hijacked the system by playing the caste card” and described him as “corrupt,” claiming there was substantial evidence against him.
“I am sacrificing my life to demand an investigation. This corrupt family must not be spared,”the ASI stated in the note.“

The suicide has raised serious questions about internal pressures within the police department. Authorities have launched a probe, and the note and video are being examined as key evidence.
The ASI’s body has been sent for post-mortem. Family members have demanded a fair and independent investigation into the matter.
Police officials say the case could be handed over to a higher agency, depending on the findings of the preliminary inquiry.
