Rohtak: Uproar in the Municipal Corporation over online attendance

There was a ruckus in the Municipal Corporation on Tuesday morning regarding the online attendance of the employees. The corporation stopped the July salary of the sanitation workers for not marking online attendance for 15 days. The angry employees gathered outside the corporation’s office and entered the commissioner’s office. The police took the employees out of the office after a lot of effort.

The special thing was that during the demonstration, the employees got divided. Both sides were seen gathering at different places and protesting. Sanjay Birlan, former head of the Municipal Corporation unit of the Municipal Employees Union, said that pressure is being put on the employees for online attendance.

The employees are already opposing this. Till now, the corporation administration has not released the salary for July. Due to this, it is becoming difficult for the employees to run the house.

Protest of Sanitation workers

At eight in the morning, the sanitation workers first gathered in Pada Mohalla. After this, while demonstrating, they reached the corporation office near Ambedkar Chowk. First, the demonstration was done by staging a sit-in at the gate.

Meanwhile, the Pradhan Shambhu group started a sit-in in the park of the office. As soon as the Corporation Commissioner arrived in the office at around 10:30, hundreds of employees entered the office under the leadership of former Pradhan Sanjay Birlan.

Immediately, police force from Arya Nagar Police Station and Police Line reached the spot. Somehow, the employees were taken out from the office and stairs. The protest was still going on till the latest information was received.
