SAD announces 7 candidates for Lok sabha elections, Check out list here

Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal has announced candidates for Lok Sabha Elections. In its first list, the Party has named seven candidates for prominent seats of Punjab. Daljit Singh Cheema has been fielded from Gurdaspur whereas Prem Singh Chandumajra has been given ticket from Anandpur Sahib.

Here is the list of seven candidates:

1. Dr Daljit Singh Cheema from Gurdaspur.

2.Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra from Sri Anandpur Sahib.

3.Sh NK Sharma from Patiala.

4.Shri Anil Joshi from Sri Amritsar Sahib.

5. S Bikramjit Singh Khalsa from Sri Fatehgarh Sahib.

6. S Rajwinder Singh (Grandson of late S Gurdev Singh Badal)  from Faridkot.

7.S Iqbal Singh Jhoonda from Sangrur.

Khalsa Sirjana Divas as most suited day

SAD leader Daljit Singh Cheema, who is also going to contest election from the Gurdaspur seat in a post on X said that Sukhbir Badal, President SAD has chosen ‘Khalsa Sirjna Diwas’ as a day to announce the candidates for elections.

While announcing the names of seven candidates, Cheema said, “SAD President S Sukhbir Singh Badal announced a list of 7 senior leaders of the party as candidates for the Parliament Elections 2024. Choosing the historic & pious occasion of ‘Khalsa Sirjana Divas’ as the most suited day to sound the poll bugle, he released the first list of candidates.”
