SAD President Sukhbir Badal Promises Govt Jobs for Punjabis and Interest-Free Loans for Youth at Samrala Rally

Ludhiana: The Shiromani Akali Dal holds  “Punjab Bachao” rally today at the Dana Mandi in Samrala, a town in Ludhiana, Punjab. Seating arrangements have been made for over 10,000 people at the venue.

Sukhbir Singh Badal addresses a rally, pledging government jobs for Punjabis, interest-free loans for youth, and improvements in law and order. He targets AAP and Congress while emphasising SAD’s commitment to Punjab’s future.

Sukhbir Singh Badal targets AAP and Congress at rally

• In his keynote address at the rally, Sukhbir Singh Badal, President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), expressed deep concern over the worsening situation in Punjab, stating that the state has been suffering for the past nine years and its condition is deteriorating rapidly. He emphasised that the Shiromani Akali Dal is the only party working selflessly and tirelessly for the betterment of Punjab.
• Highlighting the party’s significant contributions to the state, Badal recalled the party’s rich history, noting key initiatives like the establishment of tube-well connections for farmers, free tax for tractors, and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops, all of which were introduced during Prakash Singh Badal’s tenure as Chief Minister.
• Badal also launched a scathing attack on the current law and order situation in Punjab, criticising the rampant threats of violence faced by the people. He accused AAP party leaders of taking money from drug traffickers, which, according to him, has led to the ongoing drug menace in the state.
• The SAD President also condemned the unfulfilled promises of the AAP government, stating that Akali Dal remains the only party truly dedicated to the welfare and future of Punjab.
• Sukhbir Singh Badal emphasized that once the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) comes into power, government jobs in Punjab will be exclusively reserved for Punjabi residents. He strongly asserted that jobs in the state will not be open to outsiders.
• Sukhbir Singh Badal said that once SAD comes to power, they will provide interest-free loans to youth who want to start their own businesses. The first three years will be completely interest-free, and after that, they will repay the loan in 10 years.
• Once the SAD comes in Power 3100 will be pension and every farmer will have tubewell connection.

The rally is being organized under the leadership of constituency in-charge Paramjit Singh Dhillon. According to party officials, special arrangements have been made to bring in workers and supporters from across the region.

Strict security arrangements

The administration has made strict security arrangements for the rally. Along with the deployment of police forces, special plans have been made to ensure smooth traffic flow. The rally will begin at 10 am.
