SAD calls high-level meeting in Chandigarh to intensify protest against Land Pooling Policy

Chandigarh, August 7: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) in Punjab has today called a joint meeting of the core, working committee, district heads and constituency in-charges to intensify the ongoing struggle against the land pooling policy. This meeting will be held in Chandigarh at 12 noon under the chairmanship of party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal. The party has also appointed 18 general secretaries, orders for which have been issued. Senior party leader Dr. Daljit Singh Cheema gave information in this regard.

The struggle was started from Ludhiana

Akali Dal had declared a struggle against land pooling during the Ludhiana elections itself. Party chief Sukhbir Singh Badal had started his rallies from Ludhiana itself. After this, he has held rallies in many big cities of the state including Mohali and Ludhiana. He has declared that the party’s struggle will continue until the government withdraws this policy.
