Saif Ali Khan Recalls Kareena Kapoor Digging Her Nails Into Him During Their First Bike Ride on ‘Tashan’ Sets

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently shared an interesting anecdote from the sets of his 2008 movie ‘Tashan’. He revealed that Kareena Kapoor Khan, who claimed she loved motorbikes, was scared to the point that she kept clawing at him and asking him to stop during their first bike ride in Ladakh.

The actor shared the story on Amitabh Bachchan’s reality quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ along with Akshay Kumar.

Saif and Kareena’s First Bike Ride in Ladakh

“I wasn’t talking to her too much. We were being very nice, very professional on set.

They had suggested that I take her for a bike ride since she loved motorbikes. I had rented a bike for the trip to Ladakh. I would often ride to the set and just enjoyed taking in the beautiful roads.

I asked if she wanted to go for a ride. She exclaimed yes and said she loved bikes.

Kareena Gets Scared: Stop, Not So Fast!

“But when we went onto the bike she was clawing at me every couple of seconds asking me to stop.

“I took her for a quick spin, and she was clawing at me every two seconds… ‘Stop stop stop stop! Roko roko roko roko..’ I was like ‘But…’ So I went off again and she said ‘Stop, stop, not so fast, not so fast..’ After a while she said ‘No, I don’t like bike rides..'”

The actor stated he was confused.

“So I said why are we on the motorbike? But I realised… maybe there was a reason. We obviously liked each other but she didn’t like the bike,” he said.

Saif and Kareena’s Love Story Began During ‘Tashan’

For those unaware, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan met when they were filming ‘Tashan’ along with Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor.

They slowly fell in love during the filming of the action entertainer and eventually became one of Bollywood’s famous couples.

The duo have also starred together in movies like ‘Omkara’, ‘Kurbaan’ and ‘Agent Vinod’.

They tied the knot in October 2012 and have two sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
