Hansi Camp: SDM Orders Action on Civic Complaints

Hansi, April 23: The ‘Samadhan Shivir’ (Redressal Camp) held on Thursday at the District Secretariat in Hansi witnessed a deluge of grievances from the general public. SDM Rajesh Khoth and Tehsildar Suresh Kumar listened to the people’s complaints and issued directives to the concerned departments for their prompt resolution.

Encroachment, Garbage Issues Raised at Hansi Camp

During the camp, Devender, a resident of Model Town, arrived with a complaint regarding the illegal encroachment of a plot situated near the Nagar Sudhar Mandal (Town Improvement Committee). Meanwhile, a resident of Sector-6 raised concerns about garbage dumping and stray animals left on a plot that has lain vacant for years, causing inconvenience to the surrounding residents.

Complaints were also registered regarding the boundary wall of the stadium in Sorakhi village and the drainage system for wastewater. Responding to this, BDPO Ashok Mehra stated that the issue would be resolved before the onset of the monsoon season.

Villagers Demand Change in Electricity Subdivision

A resident from Ramayan village approached the camp seeking amendments to his family ID, while other villagers put forward a demand to change their designated electricity sub-division. Villagers from Singhwa Khas lodged complaints regarding the rude behavior of PWD employees and issues related to water leakage.

Women from Jagdish Colony expressed their displeasure regarding the drinking water crisis. They alleged that despite repeated appeals to their Councilor, the issue remained unresolved. Meanwhile, farmers from Mohla complained that their crops were being damaged due to the discharge of wastewater into their fields.

Poor Sanitation Conditions in District Secretariat Toilets

During the camp, complaints were also raised regarding the cleanliness and maintenance of the toilets within the District Secretariat premises. A woman from Sultanpur raised an objection regarding electricity bill arrears amounting to ₹2.56 lakh, prompting the SDM to order an inquiry into the matter.

Additionally, a complaint was lodged by a resident of Anipura regarding crop damage caused by waterlogging, while Prithvi Singh Saini from Hansi submitted a grievance related to plot tax. The SDM directed the concerned officials to visit the respective sites and ensure a speedy resolution to these issues.

A significant number of complaints related to Ration Cards and Family IDs were also received during the camp. The administration gave an assurance that all grievances would be resolved on a priority basis.
