Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal has appointed Dr Satwinderpal Singh Bittu as the party’s in-charge of the Banga Assembly constituency in Punjab.

Announcing the appointment, Badal highlighted Dr Bittu’s long career in public healthcare and his experience serving in Nawanshahr district. Dr Bittu is a retired Senior Medical Officer (SMO).

Badal expressed confidence that Dr Bittu’s experience and commitment to public life would help strengthen the Shiromani Akali Dal’s organisational presence in the constituency.

Retired Senior Medical Officer Takes Charge of Banga

Dr Satwinderpal Singh Bittu brings years of experience in the medical field, having served in Nawanshahr district before retiring as a Senior Medical Officer.

His appointment places him in a key organisational role for the SAD in the Banga Assembly constituency, where he is expected to work towards strengthening the party’s local structure and connect with residents.

Sukhbir Badal Expresses Confidence in New Appointment

Congratulating Dr Bittu on his appointment, Sukhbir Singh Badal wished him success in his new responsibility and expressed confidence that he would contribute to the party’s growth in the constituency.

The appointment comes as the Shiromani Akali Dal continues its organisational activities across Punjab ahead of the next Assembly elections.
