    UIDAI Lets Aadhaar Users Update Email ID via Aadhaar App Free for Six Months

    In a move to enhance user convenience, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has allowed individuals to add or update their email ID directly through the Aadhaar App, according to a statement by the Ministry of Electronics & IT. As per the release, Indian residents will no longer need to physically visit an Aadhaar centre to update their email ID in the Aadhaar card for free. The service is effective from 1 July 2026 for a period of six months.

    ED attack case: Kerala HC rejects plea for CBI probe

    The Kerala High Court on Friday declined to order a CBI probe into the alleged attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials during the agency’s search at the rented residence of former Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and of his daughter in the state capital city on May 27, observing that the state police investigation was progressing satisfactorily.

    B’luru daycare Child abuse: Accused caretaker Vijayalakshmi sent to 14-day judicial custody

    Vijayalakshmi, one of the five accused in the Bengaluru daycare abuse case, was on Friday remanded to 14 days of judicial custody by the 29th Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court after being arrested based on video evidence allegedly showing her assaulting toddlers. She has been lodged at the Bengaluru Central Prison. Meanwhile, the HAL Police have detained another accused in the case, and the formalities for her arrest are expected to be completed shortly

     

    CBI Arrests Three in Rs 2.07-Crore ‘Digital Arrest’ Scam, Conducts Searches in Odisha and Rajasthan

    The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches at seven locations across Odisha and Rajasthan and arrested three accused, as part of its investigation into a Rs 2.07-crore ‘digital arrest’ scam in which a retired public servant was allegedly coerced into transferring funds under the threat of fabricated legal action, a statement said on Friday.
