Second ED raid in 3 days: Kejriwal asks how much ‘black money’ ED found

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday that this is the second Enforcement Directorate (ED) raid on an AAP leader’s premises in just three days, raising questions about the motives behind these actions. He also asked how much ‘black money’ has been recovered in these raids.

Targeting the Center and the Prime Minister
Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “This is the second ED raid on an Aam Aadmi Party leader’s premises in just three days. Will the Prime Minister reveal how much ‘black money’ has been recovered in the countless raids conducted on AAP leaders so far? Was even a single rupee recovered?”

Criticizing the central government, he said, “The entire country is watching the petty politics you are playing just for power.”

Raids on Sanjeev Arora’s premises
Meanwhile, Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora also confirmed that the ED had raided his premises.

He said, “Good morning! The Enforcement Directorate has raided my premises. As a responsible citizen, I will fully cooperate with the agencies and I am confident that the truth will come out.”

The ED raided 13 locations linked to Sanjeev Arora in Gurugram, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). This included his residence and office, as well as the premises of Hemanth Sood and Chandrashekhar Agarwal.

Political reaction and investigation ongoing
According to sources, ED teams arrived at the minister’s residence early in the morning, while Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel were deployed for security. Other related locations were also searched.

It is reported that this action is related to an old money laundering case and alleged irregularities in land deals.

AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj responded, alleging that this is how the BJP begins its election preparations.

He wrote on X, “The ED has now raided Punjab Minister Sanjiv Arora. This is a clear pattern. This is how the BJP begins its preparations for any state election.”

Earlier, on April 15, the ED raided AAP Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Kumar Mittal and educational institutions run by his family in Haryana and Punjab under FEMA.

These raids come amid growing political tensions between the ruling AAP in Punjab and the central government, where opposition parties are accusing central agencies of misuse.
