Self-proclaimed guardians of peace, becoming the aggressors

We are talking about those self-proclaimed messiahs of peace who have taken it upon themselves to bring peace to the world. On Thursday, US President Donald Trump announced the formation of a “Peace Board.” He said that establishing peace in Gaza was his first step. He invited a total of 59 countries to join the board, but only 19 participated. It was understood that the United Nations had become incapable of preventing wars in the world. Now, Donald Trump has taken on the responsibility of establishing peace in the world by creating the Board of Peace.

After Gaza, he has also prepared a draft for talks between Ukraine, Russia, and the US. Regarding this claim, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, whose country did not join the Board of Peace, said, “If Trump stops the war in Ukraine, I will nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize.” But the opposite is actually happening. Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated in the Middle East. American planes have arrived in Turkmenistan. Trump, beating the drums of war, said, “Our warships are within striking range, Iran should remember that.”

The American warship USS Abraham Lincoln is rapidly moving towards Iran in the Arabian Sea. Several Iranian cities are within the striking range of this warship. Although Iran has postponed the execution of 800 protesters, young people are still being suppressed there. In response, Iran said, “America should remember that American bases are our targets.”
The US and Trump, who aspire to be the messiahs of peace, take credit for preventing a war between India and Pakistan.

The same Mr. Trump had earlier shown intentions of occupying Greenland, and now he is ready to attack Iran. It will be recalled that thousands of young people took to the streets of Iran, and the US promised to support and protect their protests. However, Iranian youth complain that this promise was not kept. The internet is still down in Tehran. Educational institutions are closed, and the Iranian internal security forces are conducting house-to-house searches of young people in cities across the country.

Protesting youth are being identified, which is why colleges and universities are closed, and only a few government offices and stores selling daily necessities remain open. The hardline government is ordering people not to gather in groups. Protesting youth are not being allowed to meet with their families. Some protesters say their movement is being brutally suppressed.

Meanwhile, US President Trump seems determined to fulfill his promise to support the youth, even if it means war. One thing is clear: Trump wants to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power. The drums of war are beating. American warships have moved closer in the Arabian Sea.This region is located near US military bases in the Gulf. American aircraft have also arrived at a base in Turkmenistan.

In response to the US military movements, Javad Akbari of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said, “We are not afraid of anyone. Our missiles are ready to strike all US military bases in the Gulf.” The stage is set for a terrible conflict. If other Islamic countries join this war, it could trigger a world war. In this situation, the hypocrisy of those who advocate for peace is becoming evident. Authoritarian leaders are unpredictable and could act at any moment.
