Sensational murder in Patiala; Girl’s Body Found in a ‘Blue Drum’

A sensation swept through the area after the body of a young woman was discovered inside a blue drum in the Railway Colony of Patiala. As of the time of writing, the deceased had not yet been identified. The police have taken custody of the body and have safely deposited it in the mortuary at Rajindra Hospital.

ASI Gurwinder Singh, the Investigating Officer from the Urban Estate Police Station, provided this information. He stated that the police received a tip-off via a phone call this morning. A blue-colored drum was found lying amidst a pile of garbage near the DCW bridge, and it was suspected to contain a body. Upon receiving this information, a police team immediately rushed to the scene and initiated an investigation.

The team extracted the body from the drum. It was identified as the body of a girl aged between 15 and 20 years. Subsequently, a forensic team also arrived at the crime scene and collected necessary evidence. The police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter.

Efforts to Establish Identity

ASI Gurwinder Singh stated that, for the time being, no concrete information regarding this unidentified girl has been obtained. The police are making continuous efforts to establish the young woman’s identity. Residents in the surrounding areas are being questioned, and the police have also begun scrutinizing missing person reports filed across various police stations. It is hoped that her identity will be established soon.

Marks on the Body

Several distinctive marks were found on the deceased’s body, which may prove helpful in establishing her identity. The name ‘Neha’ is clearly tattooed on one of the girl’s hands, while a heart-shaped mark was observed on the other hand. Minor injury marks were also found on her face. The police are advancing their investigation based on these specific markings as well.
