    Severe Heatwave in Haryana: 17 Districts Alert, Sirsa Hits 46.2°C, Rain-Hail Likely After 3 Days

    The heat in Haryana is continuously increasing. According to the Meteorological Department and the Department of Agricultural Meteorology at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Hisar, the weather in the state is likely to remain generally dry until May 29. During this period, south-western hot winds will blow, which will further increase the daytime temperature.

    In many districts, conditions may arise from heatwave to severe heatwave. As a result, both daytime and nighttime temperatures will remain higher than normal. A severe heatwave is a weather condition in which the maximum temperature in a plain area reaches 47 degrees or more, or a heavy increase of more than 6.5 degrees is recorded from the normal temperature.

    On Monday, the maximum temperature of the state was recorded 3.2 degrees Celsius higher than normal. The highest temperature was recorded in Sirsa at 46.2 degrees Celsius. In addition, temperatures of 45.2 degrees in Rohtak, 44.2 degrees in Narnaul, 44 degrees in Bhiwani, and 43.3 degrees Celsius in Hisar were recorded.
