    SGPC invites Passports for Sikh Jatha to Pakistan Gurdwaras, Check last date
     Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has demanded passports from the congregation (sangat) for the jathas (groups) being sent to visit the gurdwaras in Pakistan on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary (Shaheedi Purab) of the fifth Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
    This jatha is scheduled to be sent to Pakistan in June 2026, and the process has been initiated as per the directions of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.
    In this regard, Shiromani Committee Secretary Pratap Singh stated that devotees (shradhalu) wishing to join the jatha going to Pakistan on the occasion of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji’s martyrdom anniversary can submit their passports to the office of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Sri Amritsar, by March 5, 2026.
    He said that those desiring to participate in the jatha should submit their passports along with a recommendation from a member of the Shiromani Committee and their identity proof.
    For identity proof, a copy of ration card, Aadhaar card, or voter card can be provided. He emphasized that pilgrims should submit their passports on time so that further action can be taken.
