Ludhiana, Punjab: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is set to present its budget for the financial year 2026–27 on Saturday, with a strong emphasis on religious propagation, education, and improved facilities for devotees.

The budget session will commence at 12 noon at the Teja Singh Samundari Hall located within the SGPC office in Amritsar. SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami will preside over the meeting, while General Secretary Sher Singh Mandwala will present the financial blueprint.

Budget Likely to See 9% rise
According to sources, this year’s budget is expected to witness an increase of nearly 9 percent compared to the previous fiscal year. While the 2025–26 budget stood at ₹1,386 crore, the new budget is estimated to touch around ₹1,500 crore. The proposed allocation underscores SGPC’s continued commitment to strengthening religious activities and enhancing its educational institutions.

Focus on Infrastructure and Devotee Services
A significant portion of the budget is likely to be directed towards the construction and expansion of accommodation facilities (inns) linked to major gurdwaras, including Sachkhand Sri Harimandir Sahib. The move aims to provide better amenities and comfort to the large number of devotees visiting these religious sites.

Overall, the upcoming budget is being viewed as a major step towards reinforcing the pillars of religion, education, and community service under SGPC’s administration.
