SGPC Will Connect Youth With Sikh Heritage Worldwide: Dhami Receives Grand Welcome in America

A high-level delegation of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) visiting the U.S. was warmly welcomed and honored by the managers of various Gurdwaras and the Sangat. The delegation reached the U.S. under the leadership of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.

They shared that the SGPC is continuously working to promote Sikhism, spread the principles of Gurmat, and connect young people with their heritage. During their visit, the delegation bowed at several religious sites, including the Dal Baba Bidhi Chand Ji Samprada stop in Lathrop, California, the Gurdwara Gurmat Prakash Mantika managed by Damdami Taksal, and Gurdwara Guru Nanak Prakash in Fresno, and shared thoughts with the Sangat.

On this occasion, the local managers specially honored Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Senior Vice President Raghujit Singh Virk, Chief Secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan, Member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mahita, OSD Satbir Singh, and Secretary Balwinder Singh Kahlwan.

Addressing the congregation at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Prakash in Fresno, Advocate Dhami said that the Sikh community living abroad has strengthened the Sikh identity worldwide through their hard work, dedication, and unwavering devotion to the Guru’s house.

Appeal for support from Sikh organizations and the congregation

During the event held in Lathrop, Advocate Dhami appreciated the services being carried out by the group of Baba Bidhichand Sect under the leadership of Baba Avtar Singh Sur Singh. He also appealed to Sikh organizations and the congregation to support the press and religious propagation center being established in Yuba City. Local Sikh leaders praised the services being provided by SGPC in religious, community, and educational fields and assured their support.
