Shahid Kapoor begins shooting for Farzi 2, says ‘back at it’

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has officially began shooting for the much-anticipated second season of the hit crime-thriller web series Farzi. The actor shared the update with fans through a social media post, confirming that production for “Farzi 2” has finally started.

Sharing a black-and-white picture from the set with the makers of the series, Kapoor wrote, “Farzi 2-day 1… back at it!!!”, signalling the beginning of the new schedule. The announcement has created excitement among fans who have been eagerly waiting for the next chapter of the popular OTT series.

The first season of the show became a major success when it premiered in 2023, marking Kapoor’s debut on digital streaming platforms and gaining a massive audience worldwide.

Return of creators Raj & DK

The upcoming season will once again be helmed by the acclaimed filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K., popularly known as Raj & DK. The duo also created and directed the first season of the series.

Known for blending crime, dark humour and suspense, the creators are expected to continue the gripping storyline that left viewers with a cliffhanger in the first season. The makers have previously hinted that the second installment will feature bigger twists, higher stakes and more intense confrontations between the characters.
