Shehnaaz Gill Visits Golden Temple, Seeks Blessings for Upcoming Film ‘Ikk Kudi’

Amritsar: The star cast of the forthcoming Punjabi film ‘Ikk Kudi’, including lead actress Shehnaaz Gill, visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday to seek divine blessings ahead of the film’s release.

“Sought Waheguru’s Blessings for the Film”

Speaking during her visit, Bigg Boss 13 fame Shehnaaz Gill said, “We have come to the city of the Guru to seek Waheguru’s blessings for our film. Our film ‘Ikk Kudi’ is releasing on October 31, and we hope it turns out to be a super-duper hit.”

The actress expressed her affection for Punjab and its people, calling them “extremely loving.” She added, “I had come here before, and now my brother is also making his mark in the Punjabi film industry. I want all Punjabi people to support him — he is a son of our home.”

A Story Spanning from 1950 to 2025

Talking about the storyline, Shehnaaz revealed that ‘Ikk Kudi’ unfolds across decades — from 1950 to 2025, showcasing a range of emotions and phases of Punjabi life.

“The film was shot in Chandigarh and portrays the complete Punjabi atmosphere. When the audience watches it, they will feel that this is a story connected to the soil of Punjab,” she said.

The actress mentioned that the film’s release was initially planned for September 19, but it was postponed due to the flood situation in Punjab.

Shehnaaz Makes Her Debut as a Producer

Shehnaaz Gill will also mark her debut as a producer with ‘Ikk Kudi’, describing it as a heartfelt and empowering project.

“Ikk Kudi is my first film as a producer, and I’m overjoyed to bankroll a female-centric narrative about a young woman and the challenges she faces around marriage. The film is loaded with twists and turns, but it’s brimming with warmth, love, and fun,” she said.

“To pick a strong narrative that thrives on a strong message makes me feel proud — I wouldn’t have ever said no to Ikk Kudi,” Shehnaaz added.
