Driver Killed After Bolero Camper Falls into Deep Ravine in Shimla’s Rampur

Shimla: Police received a report of a vehicle accident in the Naval area on Tuesday. Upon receiving the information, a team from the Jeori police station immediately arrived at the scene and began an investigation. According to reports, the owner and driver of the Bolero camper was Vinod Kumar (38), a resident of Shimla district’s Rampur tehsil.

Vehicle falls into a ditch, one dead

Vinod Kumar had left Jeori to drop off passengers at around 11:50 pm on March 9th. While returning to Jeori after dropping off passengers, his vehicle suddenly went out of control at Chandu Danga near Naval. The vehicle plunged into a deep ravine approximately 200 meters below the road.

Police engaged in investigating the matter

The accident was so severe that the driver, Vinod Kumar, died at the scene. Police arrived at the scene and pulled the body from the ditch. Police have initiated further investigations and are investigating the cause of the accident. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
