Chandigarh Couple Dies as Car Falls in Shimla Gorge

A car met with an accident last night in Summer Hill, a locality in Shimla the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Two people lost their lives in the incident. Shimla SP Gaurav Singh has confirmed the details. The wrecked car, located near the MI Room in Summer Hill, went unnoticed until this afternoon. The police received information regarding the vehicle around 12:00 PM, following which they rushed to the scene.

The bodies of the two deceased individuals are currently being retrieved from the gorge. The exact cause of the accident remains unknown. The car plunged approximately 100 meters down into a gorge from the road. The police have launched a rescue operation at the accident site.

Bodies Yet to Be Identified

According to reports, the deceased individuals are believed to be residents of Chandigarh. However, their identities have not yet been officially established. It is reported that the children of the car’s occupant’s study in Summer Hill, and the couple had come to visit them. Consequently, only the driver and one other person were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
