Shimla Manisha Mittal Murder Case: Chargesheet filed against four, including two shooters

The police have filed a charge sheet against four accused persons in the court following the completion of the investigation into the murder of Manisha Mittal, the administrator of Saraswati Paradise International School in Sanjauli. According to the police, a long-standing dispute between the siblings over properties worth crores of rupees was the primary motive behind the murder conspiracy. The accused in the case include Manisha’s brother Himank (a resident of Rohtak, Haryana), his associate Govind, and two alleged shooters, Deepak and Ashish Ahlawat.

Police investigations revealed a long-standing dispute between Himank and Manisha regarding properties located in Shimla and Haryana. Govind had also become involved in this dispute. Himank had sold a property measuring approximately 150 square yards, located at Mata Da Darwaza Chowk in the Babra Mohalla area of ​​Rohtak, to Govind for around ₹86 lakh. Manisha had filed a civil suit in a local court challenging this transaction.

Dispute Over Property Deed and Will
According to the police, Manisha alleged that the property deed had been executed improperly. She also claimed that Himank had fraudulently managed to get the property’s will transferred to his name. The police have identified this property dispute as the crucial link behind the murder conspiracy.

During the investigation, Govind told the police that Manisha had warned him that he would face dire consequences if he set foot on the purchased property. According to the police, frustrated by the ongoing dispute, Himank and Govind hatched the plot to murder Manisha.

Life-Threatening Attack on the Brother
Prior to the revelation of the murder conspiracy, Himank himself had been the victim of a life-threatening attack on June 1. Police investigations revealed that tensions between the two parties had been escalating steadily amidst the property dispute.

Shooter Hired Through a Cousin
According to the police, Govind is related to the alleged shooter, Deepak; Govind is the son of Deepak’s maternal uncle. Leveraging this familial connection, Govind contacted Deepak and enlisted him to carry out Manisha’s murder.

The investigation further revealed that Himank had transferred ₹8.50 lakh into Govind’s bank account. Subsequently, Govind arranged a rented vehicle for the two alleged shooters. This vehicle was obtained from an individual in Jhajjar. According to the police, the accused were also provided with fake number plates, mobile phones, and ₹50,000 for expenses.

Shooters stayed at a hotel under assumed names
Police investigation revealed that prior to Manisha Mittal’s murder, the two alleged shooters had stayed at a hotel in the Shanan area of ​​Shimla. To conceal their identities, they had registered at the hotel under the name ‘Manish’.

Following the investigation, the police have filed a charge sheet in court against Himank, Govind, Deepak, and Ashish Ahlawat. Court proceedings will now focus on the evidence gathered against the accused and the police investigation.
