Palghar: The Shiv Sena has suspended seven party office bearers in Palghar district, including its district president, over alleged indiscipline, according to a party press note.

The suspension comes after Shiv Sena leaders allegedly assaulted a doctor in Palghar district over the treatment provided to a Govinda, a participant in the Dahi Handi celebrations.
The incident had drawn attention after party workers allegedly confronted and assaulted the doctor over the medical treatment of the participant.
The Shiv Sena said the seven office bearers were suspended for displaying indiscipline in connection with the incident.
