Shivraj Singh Chouhan Visits Golden Temple, Serves in Langar During Punjab Tour

Amritsar: Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan arrived in Amritsar on Friday on a visit to Punjab. He paid obeisance at the Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) and sought the blessings of the Guru. During his visit, he also served by cleaning utensils in the langar hall.

After paying obeisance at Darbar Sahib, the Union Minister spent some time at the Gurudwara and participated in the langar service. He served by cleaning utensils in the langar hall. Devotees and party workers were enthusiastic during the service. Shivraj Singh Chouhan is on a visit to Punjab for Rakshabandhan and the Rakkad Punia Mela.

Will interact with farmers in ‘Kisan Chaupal’

The Union Minister’s program primarily includes meeting and interacting with farmers. Following this, the Union Minister will interact with farmers at a “Kisan Chaupal” organized in Umranangal village. He is also scheduled to participate in events related to the Rakhad Poonia Fair at Baba Bakala Sahib.

The BJP is preparing for a major political show of strength in the Majha region as it prepares for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be seen sharing the same stage during the famous Rakhar Punia fair held at Baba Bakala Sahib.

This is the first time the BJP is organizing this event on such a large scale. It is being seen as the start of the party’s election campaign in Punjab. The BJP high command has indicated its readiness to contest all 117 assembly seats in Punjab on its own. Therefore, this event in the Majha region is considered important for the party’s strategy.
