Shooting at wedding in Ludhiana injures three; One shot in leg and ankle

Ludhiana: A shooting incident occurred at a wedding ceremony in Ludhiana last night. One young man was shot in the ankle and leg. Two others suffered head and internal injuries.

According to reports, some young men were smoking hookah at a wedding ceremony when a local youth filmed them. After this became known, the young men engaged in an argument with the hookah smoker. The situation escalated to a scuffle between the two sides, with one side opening fire.

Bullet wound to the leg and ankle

One young man was shot in the ankle and leg, while two of his companions were injured in the firing. According to people, police arrived at the scene about an hour and a half after the incident. The injured have been identified as Vinod, Manpreet, and Sarvjot.

Sarvjot was shot in the ankle and leg. The injured were taken to the hospital with the help of onlookers. Sarvjot is being referred to the PGI. According to residents, incidents like firing, robbery, and snatching have become commonplace in the Tibba police station area. People are afraid to leave their homes.

Police found bullet casings

Police from Tibba police station, who arrived at the scene, recovered four to six bullet shells. The police will now record the statements of the injured. This morning, the police team collected samples from Sarvjot, who was injured by the gunshot, at the Civil Hospital.
