Mumbai: Actress and singer Shruti Haasan gave fans a glimpse of her peaceful monsoon routine by sharing a heartfelt post about music, creativity and the simple pleasures of life.

On Instagram, Shruti posted a video of herself playing the piano, revealing that she woke up from a dream and felt inspired to compose a small tune before the memory faded. Calling it her “time capsule of nothing,” she reflected on how not everything created needs to become something significant.

“I had a dream… woke up late on my semi-off day and thought I need to score my dream before I forget the dream or the feeling,” she wrote, adding that she created a “teeny tiny tune” before starting her day.

Finding Joy in Life’s Simple Moments

The actress also spoke about how grateful she feels to live the life of an artist, saying she cherishes the freedom to spend time playing the piano in her favourite space while enjoying her favourite cup of English breakfast tea with ghee against the grey backdrop of the Mumbai monsoons.

“Everything doesn’t need to become something; sometimes it just needs to exist,” she wrote, reflecting on embracing creativity without pressure.

Music Remains Close to Her Heart

Shruti has often expressed her deep love for music and regularly shares videos of herself singing, composing and playing the piano on social media. Music has remained an integral part of her artistic journey since childhood.

Born into one of India’s most celebrated artistic families, Shruti is the daughter of veteran actor Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika. She made her playback singing debut at the age of six in Thevar Magan and has since built a successful career as both an actress and singer, balancing her passion for cinema with music.
