Sleeper bus collides with divider in Ajmer; Driver died, over 20 passengers injured

A major road accident occurred early Friday morning in the Adarsh ​​Nagar police station area of ​​Ajmer city. A sleeper bus collided with a divider and overturned on the highway in front of the Adarsh ​​Nagar police station. The bus driver died on the spot, while more than 20 passengers were injured. All the injured were immediately admitted to JLN Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

According to reports, the bus was traveling from Ahmedabad to Sikar. The passengers were attending a wedding ceremony. It is reported that some of the bride’s relatives were also on board. Following the accident, chaos erupted at the scene, and nearby residents immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving information about the incident, CO Manish Badgujar and Adarsh ​​Nagar police arrived at the scene. With the help of locals, the police rescued the passengers trapped in the bus and, with the help of ambulances, all the injured were taken to Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Hospital.

The condition of the injured is currently stated to be stable.
Upon receiving information, JLN Medical College Principal Dr. Anil Samaria and Hospital Superintendent Dr. Arvind Khare also reached the hospital. They instructed doctors to treat the injured immediately and avoid any negligence. Treatment of the injured is ongoing at the hospital, and the condition of most of the injured is currently stated to be stable.

The bus was heading towards Sikar
CO Manish Badgujar stated that the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Friday. A sleeper bus was traveling from Ahmedabad to Sikar via Jaipur. Preliminary investigations revealed that the bus driver may have fallen asleep or had a sudden seizure, causing the bus to lose control, hitting a divider and overturning. The driver has died in the accident. Police are currently investigating the entire incident and are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
