Sonia Gandhi seen with Priyanka Gandhi

In a video shared on Instagram, Sonia Gandhi is seen receiving the first copies of her book. During this time, she was seen sharing sweets with and hugging her daughter and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Until now, Sonia Gandhi did not have a social media account. After creating an Instagram account, she has amassed over 10,700 followers. She follows her children Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, as well as the official account of the Indian National Congress.

Book to be released on November 10th

Sonia Gandhi’s book, “Belonging: A Journey of Love,” will be published on November 10th. Pre-orders have already begun. Alfred A. Knopf will publish the book internationally, while HarperCollins India will publish it in India.

HarperCollins India announced this in a post on the social media platform X. The publishing house stated that Sonia Gandhi’s long-awaited book will be published in India on November 10, 2026.

According to the publisher, this is one of the most talked-about political memoirs of our time. The book offers a close look at India’s journey, telling a personal story of love, identity, duty, and belonging.

Discussion also surfaced regarding Penguin India

Earlier, reports surfaced that Penguin India had reportedly refused to publish the senior Congress leader’s book due to disagreements over editorial changes. However, the publishing house later clarified the matter.

Penguin Random House India stated in a statement that it is not the publisher of “Belonging” in India.

The publishing house stated that the claim that it changed its decision to publish the book because the author did not accept editorial changes does not reflect the true circumstances.

The statement stated that as a publisher, it has the right and responsibility to fact-check and make suggestions to the authors in the best interest of the book. This is a normal part of the publishing process.

The company further stated that throughout the relevant discussions, its stance was that it was willing and remained interested in publishing the book. However, the publishing house declined to comment further on the confidential conversation it had with the author.
