Sonipat DC Office Clerk Caught Taking Bribe, ACB Conducts Surprise Raid

In a major action, the ACB team in Sonipat arrested a clerk of the sales branch posted in the tehsildar’s office red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000. After the action, there was a stir in the district administrative office.

ACB officials detained the accused on the spot and started interrogation. Along with recovering the bribe amount, the legal process is also being completed by the team. The accused will be produced in court, and further action will be implemented.

The action took place in a room near the Tehsildar’s office.

According to the information, the vigilance team raided room number 11 adjacent to the tehsildar’s room. A custodian clerk at the sales branch here was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000. During the operation, the vigilance officers locked the door of the room from inside and started investigating and collected the necessary evidence.

The trap was laid on the basis of the complaint

It is being told that the Vigilance Department had received a complaint of demanding a bribe against the accused clerk. After verifying the complaint, the team set up the trap in a planned manner. As soon as the accused took a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant, the vigilance team caught him on the spot.

The legal process, including hand washing, is being completed.

After the action, the vigilance officials have started interrogating the accused. Other necessary legal formalities, including the process of washing hands on the spot, are being completed. The team is collecting all the evidence related to the taking of the bribe so that the case can be presented in the court on a strong basis.

Complaints of corruption in government offices in Sonipat have been continuously coming to the fore. This action has been taken by the Vigilance Department in this series. Officials say that no employee will be spared in corruption cases and strict action will continue if a complaint is received. The accused clerk can be produced in court and remand can be sought, after which the case will be investigated further.
