Fire Breaks Out at Paint Factory and Bamboo Warehouse in Sonipat After Suspected Chemical Blast

Panic broke out on Friday morning in the Kalupur industrial area of Sonipat district when a sudden fire broke out in a paint factory. In no time, the fire took a fierce form and also engulfed the warehouse of bamboo and sticks kept along the factory wall.

As soon as the news of the fire arrived, there was chaos in the area. When the employees working in the factory arrived for their morning duty, they saw smoke and flames coming from the factory and immediately informed the guard and the fire brigade.

Upon receiving the information, several vehicles of Dial-112, City Police Station, and the fire brigade reached the spot. In the initial investigation, the cause of the fire is being considered a short circuit. Fortunately, no employees were present in the factory at the time of the incident, preventing a major loss of life.

Information about fire received in the morning

According to information, in the morning, a fire was reported at Aroma Paint Factory located in Kalupur Industrial Area. As soon as the factory owner, Rajiv Seth, a resident of Model Town, received the information, he immediately reached the spot. Meanwhile, the guard present in the factory immediately informed the fire brigade and the police.

Due to the flammable substances, the fire spread extensively, and chemicals were also stored in the factory. Because of the chemicals in the factory, some blasts also occurred, which caused it to take on a severe form today.

More than half a dozen fire brigade vehicles arrived

Considering the severity of the fire, more than half a dozen fire brigade vehicles were sent to the spot. After several hours of effort, the firefighters largely brought the fire under control. Meanwhile, a nearby medicine factory also assisted by providing water and other resources, which helped prevent the fire from spreading.

Fire spread from paint factory to bamboo-wood warehouse

It is reported that the paint factory and the bamboo-wood warehouse are located opposite each other. Anmol Jain, a resident of Sector-15, deals in bamboo-wood for stairs and other construction work. A large quantity of bamboo was kept in the warehouse leaning against the factory walls. The fire in the paint factory soon engulfed this bamboo as well, causing the fire to spread rapidly and resulting in heavy damage at both places.

Paint factory operates in 150 yards

According to information, Rajiv Seth, a resident of Model Town, has been running a factory named ‘Aroma Paint’ for a long time on a plot of about 150 yards. The factory operates only during the daytime, and around 15 to 20 workers are employed here. At the time of the incident, the factory was closed, due to which there was no loss of life.

City police station and fire department are investigating

Currently, fire brigade teams are fully engaged in controlling the fire. Meanwhile, the city police station has also reached the spot and is investigating the matter. Initially, a short circuit is being considered the cause of the fire, although the full situation will be clear only after the police and fire department’s investigation. Losses worth millions of rupees are feared in the incident.
