Sonipat Police Encounter: Accused of Sahil murder and robbery case arrested

The main accused in the murder of farmer Sahil during a robbery in Malha Majra village, who had been spreading terror in the area, was finally apprehended by the police after an encounter. The accused, Kuber alias Mahina, was injured and captured in an encounter with a team from the Special Anti-Gangster Unit, Sector-7, on the Safiabad-Munirpur road on Monday morning. The accused, a resident of JJ Colony in Delhi, is a history-sheeter with the Delhi Police.

Police investigation revealed that the accused had stabbed farmer Sahil in the chest, killing him. Police teams were searching for the main accused, Kuber, in connection with Sahil’s murder and the robbery at his house in Malha Majra village.

Police received information that the accused Kuber would be on the Safiabad-Munirpur road on Monday morning. Police teams then set up a cordon. When Inspector Ajay Dhankhar’s team surrounded the accused and asked him to surrender, he opened fire on the police.

The police retaliated, and Kuber was injured in the leg. The police admitted the accused to the Civil Hospital in Sonipat. The police recovered a pistol and a motorcycle from the accused. In this case, the police had first arrested Shahnawaz alias Saddam, a resident of JJ Colony, Bawana, Delhi. After that, Shekhar, originally from Nahra Hall DDA Flats, Narela, and Shafiq, a resident of JJ Colony, Delhi, were apprehended in an encounter.

Both were injured in the leg. Later, Sebu and Shohil alias Bouncer were arrested. A reward of one lakh rupees had been announced for the arrest of each of them. The accused Kuber had been absconding. A reward of five thousand rupees had been offered by the police for his capture. He was finally apprehended on Monday morning. The accused was the one who had stabbed Sahil.
