Sonipat Woman Murder Case: 2 Arrested as Body Found Tied in Bathroom After Robbery

In the Jatwara area of Sonipat city, the police have arrested the accused five days after the murder of 65-year-old elderly woman Santosh who was living alone. This incident had shaken the entire area. The woman’s body was found under suspicious circumstances in the bathroom of her house.

Seeing the condition of the body, initial investigations had already raised suspicions of murder. Now the police have apprehended the accused in the case. The murder was committed not by anyone else, but by two young men from the village. The two young men from the village carried out the murder after stealing gold jewelry.

Considering the possibility of cash in the house, the accused had also planned the crime. To reveal detailed information about the entire incident, a press conference will be held on Friday at 1 PM at the office located in the Mini Secretariat, Sonipat, under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Western Zone, Kushal Pal Singh.

Woman’s body found in bathroom

On May 24, Santosh, who lived in the lane in front of a government school in Jatwara, was found lying in the bathroom of her house. The woman lived alone in the house. According to the neighbours, when she did not appear outside the house for a long time, the people around became suspicious. After this, the neighbors reached home to know the situation. The door of the house was open. When I went inside, I found the woman’s body lying in the bathroom.

Hands and feet were tied, a cloth stuffed in the mouth.

The scene at the scene was horrific. Both the hands and both feet of the woman were tied with a chunni, while a cloth was stuffed in the mouth. Seeing the condition of the body, it was clearly suspected that after killing the woman, the body was put in the bathroom. The police gathered many important clues from the spot and started a close investigation of the entire house.

Police investigation revealed that the main gate of the house was found open. The AC was also running in the room. The woman’s mobile phone and other belongings were kept inside the house. In such a situation, during the initial investigation, the reason behind the murder could not be determined. The police carried forward the investigation keeping in mind angles like robbery, enmity, and others.

Husband had died 12 years ago

According to the information, Santosh’s husband, wrestler Anand, had died about 12 years ago. The couple did not have any children. Later, they adopted a daughter, who was married off. Since then, the woman had been living alone in the house. She had been a familiar face in the area for a long time.
