Sonipat Murder: Youth Tied to Cot, Beaten to Death Over Phone Dispute

In a village in Sonipat district, a young man was tied to a cot and beaten up and eventually a young man lost his life. The quarrel over the mobile phone installed on the charging increased so much that three people together attacked the young man with sticks and sticks.

The injured young man struggled with life and death in hospital for many days, but he finally succumbed his injuries. After the incident, the police registered case of murder and started investigation.

The youth’s name was Jaipal, who is suffering with this incident, a resident of village Panchi Jatan in Gannaur, told the police in his complaint that his elder son Kamaljit who is 32 yrs. old, had gone to his neighbour’s  house in the evening when the incident happened to collect his mobile phone, which was charging there.

Attack carried out jointly by three accused

According to the complaint, Ramdas, Bhagwan Das, and Sonu together first tied him to a charpoy.

Kamaljit was attacked with the stick and the blunt ends of exes. When he did not return to home back for a long time of period, his father reached the spot where he saw his son was beaten very brutally. After that the injured person was taken to CHC Gannaur by ambulance.

After initial treatment, seeing his serious condition, the doctors referred him to BPS Khanpur Medical College, where his treatment began.

Died during treatment

After fighting for his life for about 12 days during treatment, Kamaljeet died on April 6. According to the medical report, a total of 6 injuries were found on his body, all caused by blunt weapons. Surgeons and orthopedic specialists also described the injuries as serious.

Initially refused action

According to the police, initially, since it was a neighborhood matter, the deceased’s father had refused action and asked for time. But when the young man died during treatment, the father filed a written complaint demanding strict action against the accused.

Police file case 

Police have registered the case against the Ramdas, Bhagwan Das and Sonu under the section 103(1) and 3(5) base the medical reports. The police have sent the reports to higher authorities and the investigation is ongoing.
