New Delhi: A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death during a violent altercation in Molarband area of South Delhi’s Badarpur, police said on Monday. Three accused have been apprehended in connection with the case, while police teams are searching for other suspects involved in the incident.

The teenager, a resident of Molarband Extension, succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the AIIMS Trauma Centre.

Teen Called to Spot Before Violent Clash

According to Delhi Police, information about the stabbing was received around 8 pm on Sunday through DD No. 94A at Badarpur Police Station.

Local beat staff informed police about the stabbing incident near Pandey Medical Store in Gali No. 4 on 40-Foot Road, Molarband.

During the preliminary investigation, police found that the victim was allegedly called to the location by the brother of a girl with whom he was reportedly in a relationship.

The teenager reached the spot along with three friends, following which a confrontation broke out between the two groups.

Victim Attacked With Sharp Weapon

Police said that during the altercation, the victim was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon and suffered multiple stab injuries to his chest and abdomen.

Local residents rushed him to the AIIMS Trauma Centre with public assistance. Despite medical efforts, the teenager died during treatment due to the severity of his injuries.

After receiving information about the incident, police teams reached the spot and secured the crime scene. The Delhi Police Crime Team conducted an inspection and collected evidence as part of the investigation.

Three Accused Apprehended, Search for Others Underway

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law and started an investigation into the murder.

Three accused have been apprehended so far, while multiple teams have been formed to conduct raids and trace the remaining suspects.

The initial investigation suggests that the attack may be linked to the victim’s alleged relationship with a girl. However, police said all possible angles are being examined before reaching a final conclusion.
