Speeding BMW struck bike rider in Ludhiana, death on spot

A horrific road accident occurred late last night at Phulawal Chowk in Ludhiana. A speeding BMW X7 car struck a 24-year-old man riding a motorcycle. The accident was so horrific that the young man died on the spot. The deceased, identified as Lal Ji (24), a gardener, was returning home after work.

A resident of Moti Bagh Colony, Lal Ji was the only son of his family and the sole breadwinner of the family. The future of his elderly mother and helpless father is now shrouded in darkness. He was returning home after finishing his shift at around 11:30 pm when a luxury car, akin to death, struck him.

The car driver was returning after filling petrol.

According to initial information, the young man in the BMW car was returning home after filling petrol at a petrol pump. Eyewitnesses say the car was moving at a high speed, preventing the biker from even having a chance to recover.

Family Protests

Family members and residents staged a sit-in on the road today, blocking traffic, demanding justice. After a massive protest that lasted for about two hours, police officers arrived at the scene and assured strict action, ending the protest. Police have taken action in the case and arrested one suspect.

The police have also summoned the car’s original owner for questioning to determine who was driving at the time of the accident. The police have taken the vehicle into custody and initiated further legal investigations. The deceased’s father stated, “My son was the sole breadwinner of the family. Now, who will we rely on? We only want justice and a severe punishment for the rich man who killed my innocent son.”
