Speeding Car Hits 5 Vehicles, Crashes Into Wall in MP

A speeding car driven by a 22-year-old man rammed into multiple vehicles before crashing into a wall in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, injuring four people late on Saturday night. The incident unfolded along a 1-km stretch in the Omti police station limits, according to police.

Driver Appears Drunk

Police said the driver, identified as Anurag Soni, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. After hitting three cars and several two-wheelers, the out-of-control vehicle smashed into the wall of a garden. Soni was pulled from the wreckage and taken to a hospital in an injured state.

Injuries and Victims

Aside from the driver, three others including a policeman and a teenage rider on a two-wheeler sustained injuries in the accident. All injured were rushed to medical facilities for treatment, officials said.

Police Investigation Underway

The Omti City Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sonu Kurmi confirmed that a case has been registered and investigations are ongoing. Police are also reviewing footage from a dashboard CCTV camera recovered from the car to understand the sequence of events and possible causes.
