Speeding car hits motorcyclists; one die, one injured

Late at night in the city’s Kala Saghian area, a speeding safari car hit two youths riding a motorcycle. The force of the collision threw the youths seven to ten feet, and they fell to the ground with a strong impact. The woman and a child who were walking narrowly escaped the accident, and the entire incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera.

After the accident, people nearby gathered and immediately informed the police. They called an ambulance and rushed the injured to the hospital. One youth was found unconscious on the spot, and the other suffered fractures in both his legs.

Amrik Singh, who was present at the spot, said that there were two people in the safari car, which was going from Ghas Mandi to Kala Saghian Road. The driver of the car hit the youths riding the motorcycle.

During the collision, the youths fell to the ground, and their condition was critical. They were taken to the hospital by ambulance and the police were informed.

He said that vehicles often travel at high speed at night, and he has repeatedly demanded speed breakers to be built in the area, but no one listens. The police of Bhargava Camp police station took the youths in the car into custody and started an investigation.
