Speeding car rams into bike in Jargon, one dead

A speeding car hit a bike rider near the Ludhiana-Ferozepur Highway in Jagraon. The seriously injured youth was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The deceased has been identified as Laxman Singh, a resident of village Gude. Sukhwinder Singh, in-charge of the bus stand outpost, said the accident occurred on an overbridge on the Ludhiana-Ferozepur Highway. A speeding car heading towards Ludhiana hit the young man riding the bike.

Police seize the car and the bike

The collision was so severe that the front of the bike and the hood of the car were severely damaged. The young man was seriously injured in the accident. Police from the bus stand outpost arrived at the scene upon receiving information and seized both vehicles.

According to people present at the scene, the car hit the bike from behind, causing the young man to be thrown onto the road, while his bike was trapped in the car. Police rushed the injured youth to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police are investigating the matter.

The investigating officer stated that the body was taken into custody and placed in a government hospital for a postmortem. After the postmortem, the police will hand over the body to the family and proceed with further action.
