Punjab: Speeding vehicle causes tragedy in Mansa, two brothers killed in collision

A major accident occurred late Saturday evening near the DC’s residence at Tikoni Chowk in Mansa city. Two brothers died in a collision between a speeding car and a motorcycle.

The negligence of the car driver resulted in the death of the two brothers who were riding the motorcycle. The deceased have been identified as Hardeep Singh (30) and Gurdeep Singh (34), sons of Balwinder Singh, residents of Ward Number 1 of the city. Their father had already passed away.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the City-2 police station personnel arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Late Saturday evening, a speeding car from Sirsa collided with a motorcycle on the National Highway near Tikoni Chowk. Both young men on the motorcycle were thrown a considerable distance. The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital in Mansa, where doctors declared them dead. A pall of gloom has descended over the area following the death of the two brothers.

It is worth noting that a major accident had also occurred in Mansa on Friday night. Four people from Sirsa, Haryana, died in that accident. A car and a truck collided late Friday night in Sardulewala village of Mansa. Four members of the same family traveling in the car died. All the deceased were residents of Sirsa, Haryana.

The deceased included a couple and two of their relatives. However, the car driver survived, but his condition is critical. The accident was so horrific that the Ertiga car was severely damaged. The truck driver fled the scene. Upon receiving information about the incident, the local police reached the spot and took the deceased and the injured to the hospital.
