New Delhi: The official broadcaster for IPL 2025, JioHotstar, has gathered an impressive panel of more than 170 experts, including well-known former cricketers like AB De Villiers, Kane Williamson, Shane Watson, Virender Sehwag, Ravi Shastri, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Anil Kumble, Mark Boucher, Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke, Sunil Gavaskar, and Ajay Jadeja.
Other notable figures in the star-studded panel include Navjot Singh Siddhu, Aakash Chopra, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, Jhulan Goswami, Mithali Raj, and popular Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan. This collaboration promises fans an unprecedented experience as JioHotstar represents the largest expert panel in IPL history.
As IPL celebrates its 18th anniversary, JioHotstar has revealed an innovative approach featuring more than 25 feeds in 12 languages on both Linear TV and digital platforms, bringing together a diverse group of IPL champions and World Cup winners.
Viewers can enjoy the English feed, along with options in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on JioStar Network. The live-streaming will also include 16 feeds on digital platforms, providing options in English, Hindi, Marathi, Haryanvi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, and Punjabi.
The service will enhance the viewing experience with features like multi-cam feeds, Hangout feeds, and a unique ‘Motu Patlu present Super Funday’ feed specifically for children and families.
A JioStar Sports representative stated, “What we’ve put together for TATA IPL 2025 is truly spectacular. This milestone season calls for exceptional innovations, outstanding talent, and a presentation that will captivate millions of Indians.”
Kane Williamson, a legendary batsman, will also make his commentary debut this season. Joining him are Shane Watson, Mark Boucher, and other IPL legends, ensuring fans get insights from players who recently played alongside top franchise teams.
The lineup includes former IPL captains and stars like Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, and Kedar Jadhav, along with a father-son duo featuring Anirudh and K. Srikkanth in the Tamil panel.
To enhance viewer engagement, JioStar will introduce second-screen opportunities where viewers can scan a QR code to catch missed highlights on their mobile devices via JioHotstar.
Inclusivity is a priority, with JioHotstar debuting features like MaxView, Live Audio Descriptive, and Indian Sign Language. The multi-cam options will showcase different perspectives, including the fan-favorite Hero Cam.
The season will also feature a digital-exclusive Hangout feed, alongside the new ‘Motu Patlu present Super Funday’ kids’ feed, providing a fun commentary angle with beloved cartoon characters.
Engaging content will focus on IPL icons and captains, including MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and others throughout the 18th season.
